II.
I’ve fallen in love, at last,
With a woman.
The little face, some new, some passing,
The joy outstretched in underground roads, they pour from see and sound

With moonlight and magic and ink and the breeze all tousled, and tearing, trickling from her crown

Where tiny fingers play and learn
Trying

Terrain to reign

Passing in the night, overcoat tossed aside,
I see her, and I fall in it again.

Roots to reach day after day,
Under four night days of rain

Oh, sweet.
